A 10kW system costs more than a 6.6kW system, but not 50% more. Price per watt actually drops as system size increases, since labour and switchboard work are largely fixed costs.
Think about where you’ll be in 5 years
If an EV or a battery is realistically on your radar within the next few years, sizing up now is usually cheaper than adding a second, separate system later. Retrofitting typically costs more per kW than building it into the original install.
