How to Reconnect Your Solar Inverter to Wi-Fi
Your inverter needs a working Wi-Fi connection to send data to its monitoring app. If you have changed your internet provider, modem or Wi-Fi password, the inverter will drop offline and stop reporting, even though your panels keep producing power. Use the step by step guides and videos below for Fronius, GoodWe and Sungrow inverters installed by Silicon Solar.

Wi-Fi Troubleshooting Tips
- Use a 2.4GHz network. Most inverter Wi-Fi modules cannot connect to 5GHz only networks.
- Check the signal. If the inverter is in a garage or on an outside wall, a Wi-Fi extender near it can help.
- Double check the password. Wi-Fi passwords are case sensitive, and some modules do not accept special characters.
- Restart after setup. Give the inverter and app up to 15 minutes to show new data.
- Your system still works offline. Losing Wi-Fi only stops monitoring. Your solar keeps generating and saving you money.
